Creighton Abrams - Class of 1931
Famous for:
CREIGHTON WILLIAMS ABRAMS, JR.
The M1 Combat tank was named after him. Served as a tank unit commander under Patton during WWII. He was one of the commanders of ground troops in Viet Nam, started Vietnamization program to reduce U.S. ground forces. He orgainized the ranger battalions after the Viet Nan War to increas moral. First Chief of Staff of the Army to die in office.
